She married Willis Carter on October 3, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died on February 18, 1983 in Bennion, Utah. Interment, Provo, Utah.

Class of 1922? Honorary? Minnie Hendricks. ~ ~ ~ ~ HER OBITUARY: Minnie Hendricks Grant was born July 24, 1904 in Hibbard, Idaho, the daughter of Albert and Jane (Watson) Hendricks. She died November 12, 1996 in Tempe, Arizona. She married John Williams Grant June 5, 1929 in Logan, Utah. Her husband preceded her in death on August 5, 1966. She is survived by her children, Jay W. Grant of Provo, Utah, John H. Grant of Tempe, Arizona, and Julie Ann (Grant) Erskine of Austin, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Bruce Grant, and two grandchildren. Minnie was raised in Rexburg, Idaho, and attended Ricks College where she was trained in the teaching profession. She spent much of her life teaching elementary school wherever she lived. She also attended Brigham Young Academy where she met John Williams Grant whom she later married in the Logan Temple. [Note: Brigham Young Academy ceased to exist in 1903, therefore she attended either BYH or BYU.] After marriage, the couple moved to the state of Washington and resided in Wenatchee, Yakima, Seattle, and Olympia. She also resided with her family for a period of time in Arlington, Virginia. The family returned to Washington state after a period of government service, and lived there until the death of her husband. She later moved to Salt Lake City and eventually to Tempe, Arizona, where she passed away at age 92. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she held many church positions, including Relief Society President in five wards. She served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for many years. Funeral services were held Monday, November 18, 1996, in Salt Lake City. Interment, American Fork City Cemetery, American Fork, Utah. [Deseret News, Saturday, November 16, 1996]

University, Book 10, page 156. ~ ~ ~ ~ Rachel Holbrook [Anderson] was born December 6, 1903 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. She married Robert Clair Anderson on May 25, 1927. She died June 17, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment, Manti, Utah. Her parents were Lafayette Hinckley Holbrook and Alsina Elizabeth Brimhall. Her parents had eleven children: 1. Raymond Brimhall Holbrook, born March 16, 1902 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. He married Esther Ruth Hamilton on August 24, 1928. He died in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 24, 1989. 2. Rachel Holbrook, born December 6, 1903 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. She married Robert Clair Anderson on May 25, 1927. She died June 17, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment, Manti, Utah. 3. George Blaine Holbrook, born April 8, 1906 in Provo, Utah and died August 2, 1924, at the age of 18. He did not marry. 4. Jennie Holbrook, b. March 3, 1908 in Provo, Utah. She married Delbert Valentine Groberg on June 11, 1930. She died March 25, 2004 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. 5. Mary Holbrook, b. March 2, 1910 in Provo, Utah. She married Benjamin Alva Maxwell on May 27, 1932. She died on June 19, 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah. 6. Ruth Holbrook, born January 8, 1912 in Provo, Utah. She married Francis Ray Brown on May 27, 1932. She died December 16, 1983 in Pasadena, California. Interment, Provo, Utah. 7. Elizabeth Holbrook, born February 9, 1914 in Provo, Utah. She married Alonzo Kay Berry on September 19, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died on June 29, 2000 in Provo Utah. Interment, Whittier, California. 8. Jean Holbrook, born October 7, 1915 in Provo, Utah. She died August 26, 1923 at the age of almost 8. Interment, Provo, Utah. 9. Helen Holbrook, born in about 1917. She married Carlyle Dahlquist. She resides in Provo, Utah. 10. Vera Holbrook, born October 29, 1918 in Provo, Utah. She married Maurice King Heninger on June 5, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died February 16, 2005 in Provo, Utah. 11. Alsina Elaine (Elaine) Holbrook, born Provo, Utah in about 1921. Elaine married John Arnold Haymore. She lives in Salt Lake City. @2006

Class of 1922? Paul Keeler. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS OBITUARY: Paul Fortesque Keeler, 89, died in his home, Sunday, November 7, 1993, of causes incident to age. He was born February 12, 1904 in Provo, Utah to Joseph Brigham Keeler and Martha Alice Fairbanks Keeler. He was the youngest and last survivor of 10 children. He married Bernice Barton of Manti, Utah, October 7, 1938, in Bisbee, Arizona, later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. He attended Provo, Utah schools, Brigham Young Academy high school and Brigham Young University. He served an LDS Mission to the Eastern States. He spent several years in the Mexican colonies as a teacher and rancher. He moved to Manti, Utah in 1940 where he and Bernice raised six children. He was a farmer and rancher and was a gardner at the Manti LDS Temple. He was active in the LDS Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice. He is survived by six children: Paul Douglas (Penny), Bountiful; Jay Kimball, Salt Lake City; Kay Willardsen (Tom), Kanab; Norma Barrett (Ken), Valdese, North Carolina; Martha Olsen (Michael), Bloomington, Minnesota; John Barton (Diane), Manti; and 15 grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, farming, horses, and hard work. He lived an active life up until his death. And as his humor testified to his immortal words, ``He lived 'til he died''. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 13, 1993 in Manti, Utah. Interment, Manti City Cemetery. [Published in the Deseret News, Thursday, November 11, 1993.]

Her parents were Karl Frederick Reinhard Maeser and Sarah Caroline Shepherd Maeser (Reinhard and Sade). She married Tenus Thompson. ~ ~ ~ ~ HER OBITUARY: Evelyn Maeser Thompson, age 93, of Bountiful, and formerly of Provo, died January 3, 1997. She was born December 12, 1903 in Beaver, Utah, to Reinhard and Sarah Shepherd Maeser. She married Tenus Thompson on August 4, 1927 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1982. Evelyn received her education in the Beaver and Provo schools, including Brigham Young High School, where she received a teaching certificate. She attended BYU and Utah State. She began teaching in Spring City, Utah, where she met Tenus. After her marriage, they made their first home in Spring City. They later moved to Provo where she lived until moving to Bountiful. While in Provo, she taught at the Page School, Edgemont, and Cherry Hill Elementary. Evelyn taught for 22 years in the Alpine School District. She was a past president of the Provo BPW, and a member of the LDS Church, serving as a stake Primary counselor, and a teacher for many years. She is survived by four sons and one daughter, Robert M. (Nancy) Thompson of Price; Fred (Eilene) Thompson of Salt Lake; Frank A. (Afton) Thompson of Kaysville; Mrs. Melvin (Shirley) Bangerter of Bountiful; and John S. (Linda) Thompson of Citrus Heights, California; 21 grandchildren; 35 great and great- great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held held Tuesday, January 7, 1997, in Provo. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. [Deseret News, Sunday, January 5, 1997.]

His parents were Joseph Meldrum and Sonoma Richmond Meldrum. He married Margaret Alene Tuttle on June 11, 1929 in Utah County, Utah. She was born December 27, 1901 in Spanish Fork, Utah. Her parents were Hubbart Tuttle, Jr. and Elizabeth Chisholm Tuttle.

She was born July 5, 1904, in Heber City, to Joseph R. and Margaret Wright Murdock. She attended Provo City schools and graduated from Brigham Young Academy. [Note: Brigham Young Academy ceased to exist in 1903; she attended Brigham Young High School.] On October 15, 1927 she married Rulon S. Dixon in the Salt Lake Temple. He died in 1965. She was a member of the Grandview Ward of the LDS Church and served a mission to the Central States. She was active in both the Relief Society and Primary. She had been employed by the Deseret News, Eitel-McCullough, and Varian Associates. Her survivors include four sons, James R. Dixon, Moraga, California; Joseph M. Dixon, Ogden; G. Michael Dixon, Washington D.C.; and Peter M. Dixon, Salt Lake City. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 12, 1997 in Salt Lake City. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. Contributions can be made in her name to the Primary Children's Hospital. [Deseret News, Tuesday, March 11, 1997]
