University, Book 9, page 7. ~ ~ ~ ~ Vernee Herbert Iverson was born on February 1, 1895 in Salem, Utah. His parents were Andrew Iverson and Julia M. Olsen Iverson, both of Norway. Vernee married Vennes Davidson on May 12, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and they ran a farm in Salem, Utah. Vennes was born on May 5, 1901 in Fairview, Utah. Her parents were Amasa Davidson and Ane Elizabeth Hansen Davidson. Vennes Davidson Iverson died on March 21, 1993. Vernee H. Iverson died on June 9, 1947 at home in Salem, Utah. His interment, Salem, Utah. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS WIFE'S OBITUARY: Vennes Mercil Davidson Iverson, 91, passed away March 21, 1993 at Highland Care Center, Salt Lake City, Utah. Born May 5, 1901 in Fairview, Sanpete County, Utah, to Amasa and Annie Elizabeth Hansen Davidson, she was the last survivor in a family of ten children. Married Vernee Herbert Iverson, May 12, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 9, 1947. Vennes was active in the LDS Church serving as a visiting teacher and doing temple work and genealogy for many years. Vennes was a tireless worker for her family, loved to garden, and especially loved her flowers. She is survived by sons and spouses: Amasa and Shirley Iverson, West Jordan; Andrew and Marie Iverson, Salt Lake City; Lois Iverson & Curtis Griebel, Sandy; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Vern Floyd Iverson and daughter, Vennes Vee Iverson Jones, granddaughter, Sally Ann Clays and great grandson, Bradley Jones. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25th 1993 at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 So., Salt Lake City. Her interment, Salem City Cemetery. Virl married Etta Reid on June 9, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah. ~ ~ Etta Reid was born on April 8, 1901 in Orangeville, Utah. Her parents were Edward J. Reid and Clara Adaline Gentry Reid. Etta Reid Jones died on April 17, 1972 in Martinez, Contra Costa County, California. Her interment, Springville, Utah. ~ ~ S. Virl Jones died on July 19, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His interment, Springville, Utah. ~ ~ ~ ~ His family: On May 28, 1891, Mr. Samuel T. Jones married Phoebe Ann Hardy. Seven children were born to them, four of them passing away in infancy. Those children who lived to adulthood included Samuel Virl Jones [BYH Class of 1917], Thomas William Jones, and Mayme Jones Baker. Besides working at the Provo Woolen Mills, Mr. Samuel T. Jones worked at the “Inquirer”, a local newspaper, and for the last nine years of his life, was custodian of the Franklin School of Provo. In this position he was very precise in his work and was respected and loved by teachers and children alike. His son, Virl, remembers a picture which his father had hung in the supply room at the school, picturing an elderly couple dining in elegant surroundings and he said it represented the ideal to which his father was working.
