Source: The Evening Herald, Provo, Utah, May 28, 1930. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS OBITUARY: Having completed his earthly mission on March 10, 2001, Clarence Tucker, age 90, left his companion of 40 years to join his parents and brothers and sisters on the other side of the veil in those beautiful and peaceful surroundings that Jesus Christ has prepared for us. Later he operated old vintage tractors with cleats, plowed untold acres of ground and spent many hours from dawn to dusk helping with threshing huge stacks of sheaved wheat. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served for 3 years 8 months in the Pacific Theater on a mine sweeper and later a sub chaser. Clarence was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, having served as First Counselor to the Branch President at the Hidden Hollow Rest Home and as Sunday School President. He often quoted the scriptures, which he dearly loved and studied. For nine years he received deep satisfaction serving as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple.
